EMPOWERING SMART CITIES THE BCB SMART CITY INITIATIVE
The BCB Smart City Initiative aims to encourage more involvement in the development of smart city solutions with blockchain technology.
We have the following main concepts for creating smart cities:
TRUST AND SECURITY
Supporting an ever-growing information network of billions of connected devices can be a huge undertaking for governments, corporations, and public organisations. We believe that blockchain-based solutions are one of the key technologies that can improve trust, security and network connectivity of devices.
SUSTAINABLE AND RENEWABLE SMART CITY
Smart cities of the future should prioritise renewable energy and resources. We believe that blockchain technology can be employed to reduce energy expenditure. Data usage of energy could be stored on an interoperable, regularly updated ledger that attain safe and equitable energy future. Blockchain with its traceability and transparency technology, can also be used to support the supply chain and production of food supplies.
The goals of Smart Cities should enable operational efficiencies, maximising environmental sustainability, enhancing urban living. Using blockchain we can create a transparent and fair incentive model to motivate sustainable behaviors. It is able to monitor, analyse, forecast and provide solutions in all areas of life and work for an emission-free, pollutant-free, environmentally friendly city that is sustainable for generations.
QUALITY OF LIFE
Blockchain technology can provide a higher quality of living for smart city residents. It will be able to support a variety of solutions for optimization of resource utilization and reduction of sickness, improvement of health and well-being both physically and mentally.
EMPOWERING PEOPLE, BUSINESSES AND GOVERNMENTS
Blockchain technology can permanently and securely store data, to solve inter-departmental, coordination problems by providing a unified source of truth, making information delivery more efficient that both empower and protect users.
INTERCONNECTIVITY ACROSS CITIES
By leveraging advances in blockchain technology, we can increase the carrying capacity of smart cities. Blockchain can service the growing mass of information by interconnecting cities. This interconnection deepens the global digital business, allowing cross-cutting platforms to connect services in different cities.
Yatai City a USD $15B investment and 120 square kilometre special economic zone in Myanmar is the first smart city to use BCB Blockchain to support the growing living population, merchants and enterprises in areas of finance and business services, accommodation and food services, construction, utilities, wholesale and retail trade, transportation, information and communication.
Some of the solutions include:
Digital points for commerce, digital wallet, payments, rentals and utilities for properties
Storing the deeds of the land and properties
Building smart city solutions, including infrastructure
